Membership and Support

If you are affiliated with, have past affilaition, or know someone in the area who has been affiliated with the RAN we would encourage you to make contact with us.

We grow stronger and better able to support our goals with strong membership.

Sub Section aims

As noted in the Constitution of the NAA our objectives in the Stanthorpe Sub Section include:

  • Uniting and developing comradeship amoung all former and serving Naval personnel, especially those in or from the Stanthorpe, Southern Downs and New England area
  • Promoting and assisting activities in the wider Naval community in order to improve the health and wellbeing of that community

In order to achieve these objectives the Committee and Members of the Stanthorpe Sub Section will:

  • assist, co-operate with and promote interest in the RAN, especially within the Stanthorpe district
  • assist and support the Australian Naval Cadet (ANC) movement and in particular TS Kookaburra
  • encourage the social, intellectual and general well-being plus advancement of our members
  • assist community charitable activities that contribute to the health and welfare of the ex-Service community, and
  • encourage members to participate in commemorative activities that recognise the legacy of those who have served in the Navy at sea and ashore in both peace making and peace keeping capacities
