THE NAVAL RESERVE ASSOCIATION (AUSTRALIA) The Naval Reserve Association was formed in 1972 by a small group of then-serving RANR sailors to provide a forum for social and other activities outside the service environment. It was intended to bring together all members of the RANR, past and present, to celebrate and preserve our common goals, aspirations, and heritage. It is testimony to those ideals that the Association is still going and is still growing Emphasis is focused on the social calendar of the Association without compromising the service traditions such as Anzac Day and other Naval Occasions and Events. The Association while maintaining its independence is at the same time a fully accredited Sub Section of the Naval Association of Australia (NAA) and adheres to the aims and aspirations of the NAA. The NRA also has an effective social or associate membership and is open to all interested or like-minded people with wives and partners of existing members becoming Associates.
