Headquarters and club house of Pine Rivers Sub Section is at ‘The Anchorage’, Tarakan House, Ogg Road, Murrumba Downs. Should you wish to contact us at ‘The Anchorage’ you can telephone us on (07) 38862606 – the phone is only manned when ‘The Anchorage’ is open.
This modern building is a credit to the efforts of many dedicated shipmates of the Sub Section and the support of the local community – particularly Patron of the Sub Section, Councillor David Dwyer of Moreton Bay
Shire Council and the former Mayor of Pine Rivers Shire Yvonne Chapman who was the previous Patron of the Sub Section.
The Sub Section is vibrant, participating at State Conference and attending all State Council-sponsored activities including barbeques and outings. A lively interchange of ideas occurs between shipmates and lots of social interaction is evident.
The Sub Section provides many facilities and services to members including Welfare and Pensions assistance.
The Sub Section has several dedicated TIP-trained Welfare officers and a dedicated Advocate / Pensions Officer.
Pine Rivers Sub Section meets on the 4th Monday of each Month at 1930 7.30pm –

Social Friday Nights at the Anchorage:-
The bar and clubrooms at ‘The Anchorage’ , Ogg Road, Murrumba Downs are open every Friday afternoon at about 1700(5.00pm) for refreshments.
The Sub Section has a light supper every Friday night at ‘The Anchorage’ – A different theme each Friday evening….it depends on the mood of the organiser
…which is usually friendly. Anyway we hope to see you along… and bring your money to ensure you take home a raffle prize!

07.11-08.11.14- Commemorative Events to mark significant Naval History.
07.11.14- meet and greet evening at the Anchorage 1900-2100. Invitation to CN to attend/ other official guests and shipmates and partners invited.
08.11.14- Official unveiling and Dedication of Plaques/ unveiling of murals and Wreath Laying Commemoration Service.
Sydney/Emden battle remembered/ loss of AE1/ Australian Navy & Expeditionary Forces Memorial Service.
Commemorative Dinner offering our” Mark of Respect” to absent friends and surviving shipmates.
